Babe Ruth actually DID play against black players. He played a few exhibition games against negro league teams, and played great. He did all that he did without all the accommodations modern players have (coaches, diets, training regiments, analytics, lighter bats, smaller fields, etc.) he’s still underrated if anything

Messi was perfectly rated up to like 2016-ish. After that season, messi declined significantly. He still maintained some of his dribbling capacity even though he was nowhere near his prime best. Infact, in my opinion, all the balon d’ors he obtained after 2015 were purely for commercial reasons. FIFA despises Cr7 because of his constant criticisms. So they did everything to make messi gain the advantage. Otherwise messi declined a long time ago. The world is so mesmerised by what he did in his prime that they aren’t ready to let him go

I’ve also heard that The outfield wall in older stadiums is actually further away than it is today so if that really is the case then maybe babe Ruth deserves a little more appreciation just because it was harder to hit home runs and he still hit 714. You could be right about right field wall being a shorter distance and if that’s the case then sure yeah that would mean he had an easy time since he’s left-handed, but if that isn’t the case and what I’m thinking is correct where the outfield wall is a lot farther than he had it more difficult and still hit all those home runs.
Although I don’t really watch basketball because I find the sport boring and repetitive, I mean I am from the bay area so I would have a bias for the warriors, however to find out that Steph Curry is out of the top 10 is a huge surprise. I mean hasn’t he won the MVP multiple times and isn’t he like the best 3-point shooter in the NBA?

Not buying the "old athletes arent good" argument. Yeah the competition was less but how much does that have to do with the athletes abilities and how much does that have to do with the evolution of the game and modern training techniques.
